We recently stayed at Rucksacker Backpacker and had a fantastic experience. the location was perfect, allowing us to easily access all of Christchurch's tourist attractions. Getting to the hostel from the airport was a breeze, and the staff were excellent at communicating with us before our arrival. They were also very helpful in answering our questions promptly. We were impressed with the great selection of information leaflets and books available, making it easy for us to plan our activities. the entire place was well-maintained, with information displayed everywhere. Cons: Can't fault anything about it. 😊.

Title: Great Spot for Budget Travellers
The only thing we wished for was a more happening social scene. Don't get me wrong, the hostel was cool and all, but as young party animals, we were hoping for a bit more of a lively atmosphere.

The guestrooms are super cozy and comfortable, with everything you need for a good night's sleep. I loved the soft linens and the fact that there were lockers to keep our belongings safe. Plus, the free wireless internet was a major bonus!
Personally, I wasn't a big fan of the shared bathrooms. But hey, that's just me.

The location was super convenient, right in the heart of Christchurch. We were able to hit up the Canterbury Museum and jam at The Piano, all within walking distance. And let me tell ya, the vibe here was totally chill. We met tons of fellow travelers and had a blast exploring the city together.
The only thing we wish was better was the party scene. We were hoping for a place that had some wild nightlife for us young party-goers.

I recently stayed at a backpacker hostel in Christchurch for a few nights, and my experience at Rucksacker was fantastic. The staff were friendly, helpful, and from all over the world. They provided great communication before my arrival and were able to answer any questions I had. The hostel had a wide selection of information leaflets and books to read, and information was displayed everywhere. The bed was comfortable with clean sheets and pillows, and the hostel offered excellent services. The wifi was awesome, and the backyard was great. The kitchen was okay as long as guests cleaned up after themselves. The bathrooms downstairs were very practical, and towels were changed regularly. There was even a guy named John who drove me to the airport for free, in a cute car. The laundry facilities were affordable, and there were free items in the kitchen.
Would be happy to recommend this hostel.

Stayed at a "friendly" hostel with a "homely" atmosphere, enjoyed using the "convenient amenities" and exploring the "cultural highlights".
Got to enjoy the "wide range of facilities" during my stay, including a garden and laundry facilities.

The hostel had a great atmosphere where it was easy to meet new people and make friends. The showers were environmentally friendly, which was a nice touch. the location was perfect, with all the main attractions just a short distance away.
The distance to the nearest supermarket, requiring a long walk if you didn't have a car. Another inconvenience was the limited facilities, with the kitchen, showers, and reception closing for extended periods during the day.

For the price I paid, Rucksacker Backpacker exceeded my expectations. The room was comfortable and the hostel had a homely feel. The location was convenient, with nearby attractions and a helpful receptionist.
The breakfast selection could have been better, with more variety and options.
